Valloire, the resort of the great mountain passes
Valloire, gliding at the foot of the mythical Galibier
Between the Col du Télégraphe and the Col du Galibier , Valloire blends the atmosphere of a real Maurienne village with terrain that quickly gains altitude.
Linked to Valmeinier , the two resorts form the Galibier-Thabor ski area , with slopes extending from 1430m to 2750m altitude . And with 70% of the area above 2000 meters, you'll have plenty of opportunities to spend your days riding at altitude.
160 km and 5 slopes to explore
The Galibier-Thabor ski area offers 160 km of slopes, 90 runs, and 5 different slopes to explore between Valloire and Valmeinier. From Valloire, you can alternate between the Sétaz and Crey du Quart sectors before venturing further to the slopes of Valmeinier and La Sandonière. With 33 red and 8 black runs , the area has plenty to keep skiers looking for a challenging experience busy.
Freestyle, mountain and village atmosphere
Valloire also offers a variety of activities with its freestyle areas and the vast natural terrain surrounding the resort. Ski touring, freeriding, or snowshoeing : the possibilities extend far beyond the groomed slopes.
Once back down, rediscover the friendly atmosphere of this village with its bars, restaurants, and traditional chalets . And in January, Valloire even transforms with its famous monumental snow and ice sculptures .
