La Mongie, from the slopes of the Tourmalet to the Pic du Midi
Over 100 km to vary the descents
In the heart of the Pyrenees, La Mongie offers privileged access to a ski area where altitude, wide open spaces, and varied terrain take center stage. At the foot of the Pic du Midi , the resort allows for quick transitions from accessible slopes to more challenging areas, all within a distinctly Pyrenean environment.
Linked to Barèges, La Mongie is part of the Grand Tourmalet , the largest ski area in the French Pyrenees with over 100 km of slopes . Green and blue runs to build confidence, red and black runs to pick up the pace: the terrain allows for a variety of difficulties and sensations throughout the day!
A field that grows in importance with altitude.
As you gain altitude, the scenery changes and panoramas open up onto the Pyrenean peaks . The different sectors of the Grand Tourmalet offer a mix of groomed slopes, more natural terrain and long descents, with the Pic du Midi dominating much of the landscape.
The Pic du Midi, another dimension
A true emblem of the region, the Pic du Midi rises to nearly 2,900 meters and offers a unique experience in the Pyrenees. Its high-mountain environment particularly attracts experienced skiers looking for wide-open spaces and more challenging descents. Take the Pic du Midi cable car to admire a breathtaking panorama from the summit!
And after a long day of riding, head to the bars, restaurants and terraces of the resort to enjoy après-ski and extend the evening in a friendly atmosphere.
