Why Choose the Valmorel Ski Area?

Located near the Vanoise National Park, the Grand Domaine ski area encompasses the resorts of Valmorel, St François Longchamp, Celliers, and Doucy. With 165 km of slopes served by around fifty ski lifts, this vast playground in Savoie offers endless possibilities. Even with an intermediate skiing level (blue run), you can easily conquer the Col de la Madeleine. The Valmorel area, stretching from 1,300 to 2,550 meters in altitude, is a true paradise for families and freeride enthusiasts, offering a combination of blue and green runs, as well as cross-country and off-piste opportunities among the fir trees and high mountain peaks. The ski area also features facilities such as boardercross courses, snowparks, and a Pirate Village to add to the fun of your stay. If you wish to discover the Grand Domaine in a different way, you can take the 50 km of marked trails on foot or snowshoes, offering a unique perspective on the region.

The Village of Valmorel - Authenticity and Friendliness

The Valmorel ski resort was built in 1976 with respect for the environment. Nestled between the villages of Avanchers and Valmorel, this fourth-generation resort draws inspiration from the traditional architecture of Savoyard chalets, blending modernity and authenticity. You'll appreciate Valmorel's single street, where you can stroll freely on skis. The ski lifts are never far away in this Famille Plus Montagne certified resort, where everything is designed and organized for the enjoyment of children, and adults too.

Other Activities at the Resort - Relaxation and Entertainment

Beyond the ski slopes, the Valmorel resort offers a wide range of activities to enhance your stay. After enjoying the thrills of skiing, relax and treat yourself to a moment of well-being in one of the resort's spas. Don't miss the Christmas magic that animates the resort during the festive season, admire the sled dogs during the Grande Odyssée, or discover the mountain sports film festival in early April. Those with more energy can dance the night away at the resort's only nightclub. As for food lovers, they will delight in Savoyard specialties and traditional cuisine offered in Valmorel's numerous restaurants, or enjoy a gourmet break on the slopes.
