At the foot of the Val Cenis ski area, Lanslevillard is an excellent starting point for exploring the 125 km of slopes that extend up to 2800 meters altitude .
Around Lanslevillard, the terrain offers excellent opportunities for varied descents. The Arcelle sector, in particular, allows you to rediscover wilder terrain and enjoy beautiful off-piste runs through valleys and forests. Higher up, the ski area opens up to sweeping panoramas stretching as far as Lake Mont-Cenis and the Italian Piedmont .
As an added bonus, Val Cenis is known for easterly weather systems that can bring large amounts of fresh snow .
Lanslevillard, a village that retains its character
Once the skis are put down, Lanslevillard retains the atmosphere of a true Haute Maurienne village , with its shops, restaurants and heritage, notably the remarkable Saint-Sébastien chapel .
To keep the fun going, head to Val Cenis le Haut for snow tubing or the 900-meter Val Cenis Turbo , a toboggan run with bumps and banked turns. You can also put on snowshoes to explore the snowy landscapes around the village.
