Discover the Risoul 1850 resort
Founded in the 1970s, the Risoul 1850 ski resort recently celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. Faced with the growing popularity of skiing and winter sports, the village undertook the construction of tourist residences and ski lifts to meet the demand. Nestled in the heart of a larch forest, the resort has captivated visitors with its rich and diverse natural environment.
Overlooking the Écrins mountain range and Mont Pelvoux, the Risoul 1850 resort welcomes you with its warm atmosphere and charming, typical village. Comprising several hamlets (Eglise, Gaudissard, Barbeing, Chauvet, Rua), the resort enjoys exceptional sunshine thanks to its geographical location. From the moment you arrive, you'll be transported to a magical world for your ski holiday.
The Risoul 1850 Ski Area
The Forêt Blanche ski area offers nearly 185 km of slopes for all levels. This winter, Risoul 1850 has prioritized the comfort of every skier by introducing the Grande Bleue slope. With its 5 km of pure skiing pleasure amidst varied scenery and a vertical drop of 700 meters, this slope promises a unique experience. The Forêt Blanche is a vast ski area connecting Risoul 1850 to Vars, offering ski enthusiasts an extensive playground.
At the summit of Peyrefolle, at an altitude of 2457 meters, a large beginner area is accessible for safe skiing. Novice skiers and enthusiasts can learn to ski with confidence and improve their technique while enjoying breathtaking views.
The Risoul Waouland snowpark is a true freestyle paradise, offering varied runs with banked turns, natural obstacles, and jumps. Freeride enthusiasts will be thrilled by the series of jibs and can end their day in style in the Cool Zone.
The Risoul 1850 Nordic area boasts approximately 17 kilometers of cross-country ski trails. These groomed routes, accessible by cross-country skis and snowshoes, allow you to explore plateaus and forest paths, bringing you closer to nature.

In winter, you can enjoy a large ice rink located on the snow front. With its 600 m² of natural ice, it allows you to practice ice skating as well as hockey. Immerse yourself in the heart of the White Forest and discover the life of a musher during a dogsled ride, an experience enjoyed by both young and old.
For a thrilling experience, dare to try a zipline crossing over 700 meters long. Soar above the ski area between sky and earth and enjoy a truly unique adventure! For a moment of relaxation and well-being, the Risoul aquatic center offers a Nordic pool, a heated swimming pool, a hammam, and fitness facilities.
In summer, you can experience the thrill of a toboggan run on rails, reaching speeds of over 30 km/h. This family-friendly activity offers a unique way to discover the mountains and is sure to delight both young and old. Risoul Rando Park also offers numerous mountain hikes with marked themed trails, allowing you to explore the local flora and fauna. For the more adventurous, whitewater sports such as canyoning and rafting provide a thrilling adventure in a stunning natural setting.
Finally, with the Risoul Mountain Bike Camp, you can ride down the mountain bike trails and tackle the Enduro circuits to reach the summits. Each route is adapted to a specific level, allowing you to discover the mountains at your own pace.
Access to Risoul Station
From Grenoble, follow the famous Route Napoléon (N85), then the N94 from Gap to Guillestre. If you are coming from Marseille, take the A51 motorway to La Saulce, then follow signs for Briançon. Bus transfers are available from the TGV stations in Montdauphin and Aix-en-Provence. Finally, shuttle buses run from Marseille Provence Airport (Marignane) to Risoul.
