A historic freeride spot in France
Nestled in the heart of the Aravis mountain range, La Clusaz is one of the resorts that has built a true freeride culture in France. It is also the home resort of Candide Thovex , Freeride World Champion and multiple Winter X-Games winner.
Its domain extends across 5 massifs , with very different terrains ranging from forests and valleys to steep slopes and high-altitude areas. From the village at 1040 meters altitude to the slopes located at over 2400 meters, you experience a completely different atmosphere throughout the day.
A large and very varied ski area
The La Clusaz area offers approximately 125 km of slopes and 85 pistes , spread across the Balme, Aiguille, Beauregard, Manigod and Étale massifs.
For riders, the Balme sector remains a must: its wide slopes, natural terrain, and often well-preserved snow make it one of the resort's iconic spots. Beauregard offers a more wooded landscape, while L'Étale provides access to more challenging runs.
A real village that lives on after the last run
La Clusaz is also a lively and authentic village in the Haute-Savoie region , with its chalets, shops, bars, and restaurants at the foot of the Aravis mountains. Once you've taken off your skis, you can go snowshoeing , try sledding, enjoy the ice rink , or discover the mountains by dogsled.
