La Chapelle d'Abondance, from wide open spaces to the Portes du Soleil
In the heart of the Chablais region, La Chapelle d'Abondance combines the charm of a mountain village with access to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. Forests, alpine pastures, and peaks create an ideal environment for those seeking a more unspoiled mountain experience without sacrificing the diversity of a large ski area.
Crêt-Béni and Braitaz, two faces of the resort
Skiing is organized around two complementary sectors. Crêt-Béni alternates between forest trails and more accessible areas, while Braitaz offers more challenging descents and beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. From this sector, it is possible to continue towards Châtel and the rest of the Portes du Soleil.
From the track to the wide open spaces
La Chapelle d'Abondance offers a variety of activities throughout your stay. Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and other winter activities provide different ways to explore the valley and its snowy landscapes.
Heading towards the Portes du Soleil
From La Chapelle d'Abondance, the possibilities extend far beyond the village. The Portes du Soleil ski area allows you to link together different ski areas between France and Switzerland, with a wide variety of slopes, terrain, and atmospheres. It's a particularly attractive destination for those who enjoy exploring different areas and making multiple runs.
