Les 2 Alpes: the largest glacier in Europe

Located in the department of Isère, in the heart of the Massif des Écrins between the villages of Mont de Lans and Venosc, les 2 Alpes station is a real paradise for lovers of freeride skiing. Reputed worldwide for its glacier reaching the 3,600 meters above sea level and its abundant natural snow, this station offers a unique sliding experience at the crossroads of the Northern Alps and the Southern Alps. Founded in 1946, les 2 Alpes was originally a territory dedicated to breeding. It was in 1934 that the first inn was built to welcome the first tourists, and in 1946 that the very first ski lift was inaugurated. The name of the station is inspired by its location between the Alpe de Mont de Lans and the Alpe de Venosc. Since 1973, summer skiing has been possible thanks to the snow at the glacier and the construction of the Le Jandri cable car.

The Snowpark of Les 2 Alpes, known as Freestyle Land, is a real paradise for freestyle lovers. Designed and maintained by a team of passionate Shapers, this snowpark welcomes many competitions each year and meets the expectations of the most demanding riders. Whether you are a beginner or expert, you will find a wide variety of modules and rails to push your limits and experience thrills! Imagined in collaboration with former champion Nicolas Marduel, this snowpark is one of the best in France and is recognized worldwide. It offers different lines to satisfy all levels of freeride skiing, with a slopestyle, a half-pipe and a fun area called "cool zone" where you can have a good time with friends.

Les 2 Alpes in summer: a mountain of activities

With its glacier culminating at 3,600 meters above sea level, Les 2 Alpes station also offers many summer activities. You can hit the slopes of the largest ski -ski glacier in Europe thanks to its 2 cable cars, its 6 ski lifts and its funicular. Snowpark is also open in summer, with its 5 playful zones including Easy Park, Big Air, Jib Lines and the Slopestyle area. Apart from skiing, the bikepark of Les 2 Alpes is one of the largest and the best in the Alps. With an impressive elevation gain of 3,200 to 960 meters above sea level, it offers a wide variety of mountain bike tracks for 91 km, offering a unique experience in the heart of a wild and preserved nature. How to come ski to Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes are easily accessible for several points. If you come from Grenoble, follow the highway and take the Briançon output, then the Vizille exit. Then take the RD1091 towards Bourg d'Oisans to the Chambon dam, and turn right on the D213 to reach the station. The Grenoble SNCF station, located 70 km from Les 2 Alpes, offers shuttles ensuring the link throughout the year. You can also reach the station from the airports of Grenoble-Isère and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry thanks to transfers provided by bus companies such as VFD and Blablabus.
