At an altitude of 1,100 meters , Chatel has retained the DNA of a true Haute-Savoie village with its chalets, farms and scenery dominated by the peaks of the Chablais.
But once you put on your skis, you quickly change scale: the resort is directly connected to the Portes du Soleil , one of the largest ski areas in the world, with slopes between France and Switzerland .

Les Portes du Soleil comprises 12 resorts and 600 km of skiing between France and Switzerland . From Châtel, the Super-Châtel and Linga/Pré-la-Joux sectors offer very different terrain: accessible slopes and links to Morgins and Torgon on one side, more sporty descents and access to Avoriaz on the other.
Snowparks and boardercross complete the terrain, allowing for a change of pace throughout the day.
