Maison Clataud Sport – Piazza Assietta: in the heart of Sauze d’Oulx
Located at Piazza Assietta 16 , this 200 m² shop is just 100 meters from the Clotes ski lift . The owners, former high-level skiers, understand the demands of different skiing styles and provide support to both beginners and experienced skiers looking for more technical equipment.
It's also the ideal place for those who like to change terrain. Freestyle, all-mountain, freeride or ski touring , the choice covers several ways to approach the mountain with brands like Salomon, Völkl, Atomic, Blizzard, Line, Armada and Dalbello .
Clataud Sport – Sportinia: skis directly on the snow
A change of scenery awaits at Sportinia. Located in the Hotel Orso Bianco , at the top of the Sauze-Sportinia chairlift, this shop is right on the slopes . Once you've picked up your equipment, simply put on your skis and start exploring the Sauze d'Oulx area, continuing further along the Via Lattea .
This ski-in/ski-out location makes it a particularly attractive starting point for making the most of your day. The team is available to help you choose the right equipment based on your skill level, preferred style of skiing, and the terrain you wish to explore.
Maison Clataud Sport 2 – Piazza 3 Reggimento Alpini: the Clataud family workshop
Located on the main square, Piazza 3 Reggimento Alpini 23 , Maison Clataud Sport 2 is approximately 300 meters from the slopes , with ample parking nearby. This address also evokes the history of the Clataud family: the business was founded by Pier Lorenzo Clataud , a former member of the Italian national ski team, before his sons Daniele and Simone continued the adventure.
Skis, snowboards, boots, or snowshoes allow you to choose your terrain for the day. The shop also has a workshop equipped with Wintersteiger machines to prepare and maintain your equipment before heading back out onto the snow.
Change your equipment, not your playing field.
All three shops offer Flexski and Multiglisse . The former provides greater flexibility for your booking, while the latter allows you to change equipment during your stay and switch between different types of skiing. This freedom is particularly valuable in a ski area as vast as the Via Lattea, where the skiing opportunities vary from one sector to another.

Sauze d'Oulx: the Via Lattea as a playground
Situated between 1,400 and 2,400 meters in altitude , Sauze d'Oulx opens the doors to a ski area that extends far beyond the resort's borders. Part of the Via Lattea network, it provides access to nearly 400 km of slopes between Italy and France. From Sauze, ski days can easily extend to Sestriere, Claviere, and then Montgenèvre , with the possibility of changing resorts and even crossing into other countries without ever taking off your skis. The region also hosted several events during the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics .
39 local tracks before looking further afield
With 39 runs and 23 lifts , Sauze d'Oulx already offers plenty of opportunities for skiing without even leaving the area. But its appeal takes on a whole new dimension when you start exploring the Via Lattea: long connecting runs, changes in terrain, and new panoramas allow for very different day trips. When snow conditions permit, the surrounding mountains also offer opportunities for freeriders and those drawn to ungroomed terrain .
From Sauze to Montgenèvre, a change of scenery
The cross-border aspect is part of the experience. A day can begin on the slopes of Sauze d'Oulx, continue towards Sestriere and Claviere , and then take skiers all the way to Montgenèvre on the French side . For a multi-day stay, this vast area allows for varied itineraries and the discovery of different atmospheres without leaving the ski area.
After the runs, it's time for Sauze.
Returning to the village marks a real change of pace. Sauze d'Oulx is renowned for its lively après-ski scene , with numerous bars and restaurants where you can experience the atmosphere and cuisine of Italy. The village's narrow streets, Piedmontese restaurants, and other entertainment venues naturally extend the day after a day on the slopes.
