Nestled opposite the peaks of the Maurienne valley, Saint-François-Longchamp offers open, sunny, and varied terrain. Its ski area boasts 70 km of slopes , with 42 runs and 16 ski lifts. But the real advantage is its connection with Valmorel : together, the two resorts form Le Grand Domaine, with its 165 km of slopes , ranging from 1,200 to 2,550 meters in altitude .
From the Col de la Madeleine to the freeride areas
The Grand Domaine ski area blends alpine pastures, forest paths, and increasingly steep slopes as you gain altitude. The connection via the legendary Col de la Madeleine allows you to ski down to Valmorel and link the slopes together in a single day.
To get off the beaten track, the resort also offers freeride areas, snowparks and boardercross courses , with the Lauzière massif and the Cheval Noir, peaking at 2,832 meters , as backdrops for ski touring.
