Our Delivery and Collection Services
We have three options for delivery and collection so no matter what time of day you arrive and what your plans are there is always a hassle free solution to getting hold of your equipment quickly and efficiently to get you out on the slopes as quickly as you want.
Ski Testing Service
If you are thinking of buying new skis then make sure you pay Freeride a visit. Where else can you test all of the latest models back to back on snow from conveniently located shops just next to the pistes.
Boot Fitting Clinic
You can buy boots in most shops, but how many know how to fit them ? A good bootfitting is the most important part of your ski equipment and will improve your skiing performance and enhance your comfort. Every foot is unique and every boot manufacturer makes boots based on different volumes (lasts). Therefore it is essential that you choose a shop with staff that understand feet! Shop collection :
Collecting from or dropping back to our shops is a very easy process due to their convenient location. This also makes it extremely easy to change or upgrade equipment throughout the week.
When you book in advance online all your equipment is pre-selected and put to one side for you so your visit is remarkalbly quick and easy. Collecting from the shop also gives you the flexability, if you have a particular style or type of ski in mind, to talk face to face with our technicians and choose the most apropriate ski from the shop stock.
Our shop opening times are : Monday to Sunday from 8.30am to 7.30pm
FREE Shuttle Service
We have introduced this brand new shuttle bus to give you more flexibility and a much faster service and to be honest it’s great for any group size whether with children or without. You have all the benefits of a shop collection, from consulting directly with our staff to picking up any important extras in the shop (ski socks, sun cream…), with all of the hassle free elements of a chalet delivery so you can really get onto the slopes first thing the next day without any delays.
It also means you can collect your equipment when it’s convenient for you, all you have to do is indicate on your online booking that you want this service, where you’re staying in resort, and we’ll be expecting your call when you arrive to arrange your pick up time. Call our delivery team on 0033 4 79 00 42 41 (option 1 for the delivery and shuttle service) and book yourselves a slot to be collected from your chalet.
The Shuttle service hours are : Monday to Sunday from 8.30am to 7.30pm
In Chalet Delivery Service
The hall mark of our great service at Freeride, having been one of the first ever ski hire company to offer this service, is our in chalet fitting service. It’s a great service to get you the best equipment no matter where you’re staying. It allows you to relax about booking your chalet far from our shops, with a whole whoard of Children, large corporate groups or just those who would rather relax after a days travelling but still need require an easy and efficient service.
Our Chalet service is more than just a delivery service and you will never arrive to discover that you still have to visit the shop because there are items to change. We send a fully trained technician who will make sure your boots fit comfortably and your bindings are set correctly and above all, if there’s something to change, we’ll do that for you too and make sure it’s delivered to the chalet before you’re awake the next morning!
To receive this service just tick the box for Chalet delivery when you make your online booking and let us know where you’re staying and roughly what time you’ll be arriving. We’ll be expecting your call to let us know that you’ve either arrived or are nearly at your chalet so we can arrange a convenient time to visit and fit all your equipment.
The Delivery service hours are : Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 11.00am and 5pm to 7.30pm
Weekends from 8am to 11pm non stop.

Would you buy a new car without test driving it first? So why every season do many British skiers still buy new skis in the UK without ever trying them on snow first. From Meribel through to Val D’Isere, all the Freeride.fr, Precision and Danisports shops are ideally located just 100 metres or so from the best test tracks with real snow!
Owning your own skis will dramatically improve your skiing enjoyment but it is essential to buy the right pair. Buying in resort provides a wider choice and our Ski Test service will give you access to great advice from our highly trained team and allow you to test different models and purchase the one that best suits your style, budget and skiing ability.
Comprehensive range
Testing starts each season in January and ends in May with our test team trying everything available from a wide range of suppliers. We are not frightened of change and constantly adapt our buying from one season to another to offer our clients what we believe to be the best range of all mountain, freeride, freestyle, racing and backcountry skis available. Our friendly British and French staff are passionate about the mountains and are there to provide the most professional and helpful advice. The Freeride.fr test centre is just that, we have a dedicated test stock that is constantly maintained to ensure maximum performance.
Binding packages
To help you with your decision we have decided to offer all our skis with a recommended binding package that we feel ideally compliments each ski. However if you would like something different we are more than happy to discuss your requirements.
Reserve test skis online
If you know what you would like to test in advance then simply fill in your details in the space provided and a technician will contact you to discuss this seasons skis, a convenient time for you to test them and any terms and conditions associated with the Ski Test process. We recommend setting aside a day for testing back to back so that you can compare different models in the same conditions.
| Bootfitting Clinic : |
Our boot fitting clinic is appointment based for optimum service. At Freeride.fr in Méribel, Precision Les Arc 1950, Precision Val Claret in Tignes and Precision Iseran in Val D’Isere we have specialist, highly trained staff who work for us season after season after training both externally and internally to our very high standards who are there to listen, help and advise you.
We will guide you through the fitting process and look after you from start to finish. We have an extensive selection of ski boots for all levels of skier and we are also happy to troubleshoot problems with existing boots. Due to our excellent reputation we do get booked up very quickly, we recommend contacting us as soon as you arrive in resort or better still, give us your details in the box provided so we can contact you to confirm your appointment.
At Freeride.fr we spend 50% of our time trouble shooting customers boots who have bought elsewhere. Although there are some good boot fitters in the UK we recommend buying in resort because ski boots will need to be skied in, wearing them at home for a couple of evenings will not achieve this! Our service allows you to ski your boots on snow leaving the option for you to come back to the shop if anything needs modifying, come back as many times as you need, confident in the knowledge that this service is free of charge.
Socks, liners and foot beds
To achieve the best fit between your ski boots and your skis it starts with your choice of sock. Modern technical socks will wick moisture out of your boots and should be close fitting and pre shaped to avoid cold feet and blisters. Most of the boots we sell at Freeride.fr have heat mouldable inner boots that can be moulded to your feet providing a closer fit to enhance ski performance. For the ultimate fit solution for more serious skiers who spend more time on the slopes we also sell separate custom liners. Every boot we sell we will recommend purchasing a custom foot bed. Again every foot is unique so we mould each foot bed before fitting it to the boot. This provides more support under your feet and will enhance comfort and avoid pressure points, cramp and tiredness

State of the Art Workshops
During the summer of 2006 we moved our entire workshop and logistics operation down the valley to Moutiers where we have one of the French Alps largest state-of the-art, modern workshops. Thanks to our partnership with Precision and Danisports we now have a second workshop in Seez that is also equipped to the highest standards allowing a quick turn around without loosing any of the quality in service or repairs. The workshops have provided us with an efficient professional working enviroment with over 1250m2 of space. We have selected American manufacturer, Snowell, as our official supplier of ski tuning machines and can boast one of the best reputations amongst resort mountain professionals who place their trust in Freeride taking care of their equipment throughout the season. Overseen and managed by experienced and dedicated technicians, we provide professional tuning or repairs whilst ensuring our rental equipment is kept in perfect condition for the whole of season, regardless of snow conditions.
Get the Most from your Skis
Modern 'carving' skis rely heavily on their ability to get from edge-to-edge in the most efficient way possible, and once there they need a clean, burr-free rail to perform on. It has been recognised that after as little as 3-5 days skiing the performance of skis drops dramatically - and this is for brand new skis! We offer a range of services to ensure the longevity of your skis and enhance their day-to-day performance - for the maximum enjoyment with the minimum of fuss.
Arranging your Ski Service
Fill in our enquiry box to contact our team and let them know what kind of service you want and they will get back to you to answer any questions if you require more technical information and let you know what time your skis need to be in the shop to be back the next day ready for skiing. All emails will be responded to and confirmed personally by our dedicated team.

Information and Advice
Our customer services ethos is based on the service we would want to receive ourselves. Fast, efficient, informative, full of local knowledge and able to think outside the box to find a happy solution for everyone. You’ll also find it’s a real person who’s listening to you and not a pre-recorded options menu.
Based in Bourg St Maurice, our Customer Services are a hub of communication, information and reservations assistance usually to do with your ski hire but sometimes it stretches to general resort information too!
Reservation Solutions
There are a million questions that we are here to answer whether you’ve been coming here for years and just want to double check a detail or whether you’ve never been skiing before and want help and advise from start to finish about what to select from our booking service.
We are also here to make sure the correct information is passed on and noted should any aspect of your booking change between the booking date and your holiday (children’s height, boot size, equipment preference etc).
Helpful and Efficient
Outside of our working hours you can contact your shop in resort or the mobile delivery service (which ever is most relevant) for more information regarding your booking. All information is passed onto the relevant shops each weekend so there will always be someone who is up to date who can help and offer advice.
