Q: What will I need in order to make a reservation?
A: To make a rental reservation, you will need your holiday information, details of height, weight, ability age and shoe size for each member of your party, and a credit card.

Q: Why have I been asked for my holiday dates twice?
A: The first date you will be asked for at the beginning of the booking is specifically the first day you want to use your equipment. The second date we ask you for is the date you arrive in resort. The is very often the day before you start skiing so in order to make sure you equipment is delivered in advance or waiting for you in the we also ask you the time you plan to arrive that day too.

Q: How much is the mobile service?
A: The price of the mobile service depends on how many people are in your online booking. The more of you there are the less it is for us to run the service so we pass this saving on to keep it reasonable. As a great new alternative we now offer a shuttle service between your chalet and the shop which is free.

Q: I have tried to book online but the website doesn’t seem to be working, what shall I do?

Q: I have tried to book online but my card has not been authorised, why is this and what can I do?
A: It is possible that your bank has blocked the payment for security reasons because it is an overseas (€) transaction. Please contact your credit card company to unblock your card and either try the transaction again (if you still have the original order open) or contact us on 0845 0042 442 and we will process the payment manually and update your original order.

Q: I would like to speak to somebody in person, how can I contact them?

Q: My child is quite tall and heavy for his/her age but he/she is only 12 – does he/she still qualify for ‘Junior equipment?
A: We would recommend Adult equipment because skis and boots available in larger sizes are slightly stiffer enabling better edge grip and are more stable at speed.

Q: I’d like to add my information to an existing group booking, how do I do this? Can I add it on or do I have to start a new booking?
A: Unfortunately you need to start a new booking. However if it is just a modification to a size or model of ski/boot, please email us at reservation@freeride.fr and we will edit your booking.

Q: I’ve been offered great discount at another store but love the service you provide, who would I contact you about the possibility of a discount?
A: The first thing to remember is that online discounts may be attractive but very often the equipment and service will not match your expectations. Skiing holidays are expensive and your time is precious. Unnecessary trips back to the ski shop to change equipment can quickly ruin your holiday. We offer season long online discounts and have special early booking offers at certain times of the year. Q: Do you do group discounts?
A: We offer discounts for large groups during low season periods, please contact us for more information on 0845 0042 442 or email us at reservation@freeride.fr.

Q: Do you offer discount to Ski Club of Great Britain members?
A: Yes we offer 25% discount but you have to enter a promotional code, this is only available with your membership number. Please check with the SCGB.

Q: We’ve been quoted a promo code for a discount by the tour operator we booked with – but it doesn’t work on the website – what shall I do?
A: Please contact us on 0845 0042 442 or email us at reservation@freeride.fr and we will look into the problem.

Q: I’ve booked online but have not yet received a confirmation email – how can I be sure the booking has been made?
A: You will receive a confirmation email automatically when payment has been received by our online banking system. If you have not received confirmation, please contact us on 0845 0042 442 or email us at reservation@freeride.fr and we will look into the problem.

Q: I’m travelling this weekend and would like to book equipment but the website won’t let me – what shall I do? Am I too late??
A: Please contact us on 0845 0042 442 and we will try to take your reservation over the phone.

Q: I really want to book a specific pair of skis for my holiday can I do this with you?
A: The best thing to do is to contact us on 0845 0042 442 or email us at reservation@freeride.fr and we can tell you which skis are available in which categories this season and how to note on your booking what you’re looking for. We can’t promise but it’s more likely than not that you’ll get what you want.

Q: I need to get some boots fitted to go with my rental skis, how can I make sure I get an appointment at the beginning of my holiday?
A: If you make contact with the shop in advance of your holiday a technician will book you in for an appointment that suits you . Make sure you book as far in advance as possible for busy holiday periods.

Q: I am booking for other people/my family and want to make sure they get the best skis. Does this mean I book Diamond skis for everyone?
A: The best way to select the category of ski is based on ski experience. We have 4 categories of ability level that correspond to equipment level. E.g. Beginner skier = Blue skis. Advanced skier = Black skis

Q: Can I hire a helmet from you?
A: Yes! We now have a great stock of helmets and if you tick the box next to the helmet when you’re booking it will automatically adjust the price and your helmet will be included.
