Freeride.fr - Equipment Hire - Terms & Conditions  

  • The client assumes full responsibility for all hire equipment taken from the premises or delivered to their accommodation. If equipment is not returned, in all cases the client will be charged the purchase cost of the ski new plus any hire charge due
  • The equipment is maintained in good condition in preparation for normal use and should only be used for such purposes. It must be returned in a condition consistent with normal usage. All equipment bears identifying marks and/or numbers. It must be returned with the same identifying marks and/or numbers. Any deterioration in condition will result in the client bearing the cost of repairs or, in the case of irreparable damage, the purchase cost of the equipment new, plus any hire charge due
  • The hired equipment is to be used only by the client whose names appear on the rental form or online booking confirmation. The equipment must not be re-hired or loaned to a third party.
  • The client can opt to take insurance with the equipment rental at a cost of 3 Euros per day. This insurance covers the replacement cost in the event of theft, loss or damage beyond repair. In all cases, the equipment must not have been left unattended or used carelessly, and a police report obtained within 24 hours. The client takes responsibility for any other eventualities not covered by this insurance. Should a client decline the insurance offered by Freeride.fr, the client accepts full responsibility for the equipment hired and, in the event of theft, loss or damage beyond repair, agrees to pay the full replacement cost plus TVA, detailed per category as follows:

    • CHILDREN 100.00 € inc. VAT
    • JUNIOR 150.00 € inc. VAT
    • BLUE 200.00 € inc. VAT
    • RED 300.00 € inc. VAT
    • BLACK 400.00 € inc. VAT
    • PRESTIGE 500.00 € inc. VAT
    • HELMETS 35.00 € inc. VAT
  • In the event of poor snow conditions, Freeride.fr reserves the right to withdraw the offer of equipment insurance covering damage to equipment. Please ask a member of the Freeride team for full details of terms and conditions of insurance
  • The duration of the rental is fixed for the period determined on the rental contract or online booking confirmation. Each hire day starts at 08:00hrs and ends at 18:30hrs. The rental period can only be modified with approval from the Rental Manager or Managing Director. In the event of an injury, poor weather or poor snow conditions, refunds will not be given, but a document supporting an insurance claim will be supplied.
  • Proof of identity and credit card details will be requested in order to establish the rental contract or online booking.
  • The client, having previously supplied credit card details, authorises Freeride.fr to charge the appropriate amount to his/her card in settlement of all outstanding debts. These debts can include unpaid rental charges, missing equipment or equipment returned in need of repair due to activities not in accordance with normal use.
  • Certain compulsory information will be requested when establishing a rental contract or online booking. In accordance with the Data Protection Act, your personal information is confidential and is solely for use by Freeride.fr
  • In the event of a cancellation, Freeride.fr must be informed a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of the rental period, or the client is liable to pay the full cost of the rental. In all cases, an administration fee of 10% of the total booking will be charged.
  • I hereby accept that the information provided is correct and that all personal information relating to age, height, weight, ability and foot size will be used by Freeride/Precision Ski to set each customers DIN setting (binding safety release/retention setting). It is important to provide accurate information. Inaccurate information may increase your risk of injury.
  • In the event of third party modifying the recommended DIN setting as set up by Freeride/Precision Ski at the beginning of the hire period, Freeride/Precision Ski do not accept responsibility for any injury caused by equipment failing to release or by equipment releasing prematurely. Should you wish to modify your DIN setting during the hire period, please visit one of our shops to have them adjusted by one of our trained professional technicians.
  • In the event of the customer having their own boots, it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure that they contact Freeride/Precision Ski to arrange for a technician to adjust the bindings on the rental equipment to the recommended DIN setting.
  • Should a litigation case arise involving any rental contract or online booking, it will be heard under French law at the nearest small claims court to the point of rental.
